Lucrezia Borgia was an Italian noblewoman and daughter of Pope Alexander VI. A notorious reputation surrounds her, and she is inextricably, and perhaps unfairly, linked to the crimes of her family.
It is 1501 in Subiaco, near Rome. Her father, Pope Alexander VI has been on the Papal Throne for nine years, and just recently (August 18, 1500) her 2nd husband, Alfonso of Aragon, the Duke of Bisceglie met his untimely death by strangulation as he was recovering from a brutal stabbing at the hands of hired assassins. Lucrezia's father has just arranged for her to be married to Alfonso d'Este, Duke of Ferrara, in early 1502.
Therefore, this is the perfect time to party!
You are all formally invited by Lucrezia's brother Cesare to join the happy Borgia family for a day of games, merriment, festivities and for the evening, a feast to die for! Just remember, the suggestion that Lucrezia was a poisoner is grounded more on salacious gossip and the hysterical accusations of her 1st husband than on reliable evidence.
When you walk through the gates to the event and check in with "The House" of Borgia, you will be handed a starting pile of "Tyger of the Realm" to be able to attend the games laid out for your enjoyment.
Throughout the day there will be multiple games of chance that will allow you the ability to build your wealth for the upcoming feast where you will have the fun of bribing your servers for help throughout the meal.
Also at any time throughout the day you will be able to visit "The House" and donate to the Shire Fundraiser in order to add to your amount of Tyger. There will be no conversion from the Tyger to any other currency. If you have any Tyger at the end of the night, hold on to them for the next Mangia Borgia as they will be accepted at all other Mangia Borgia events.
Fast games will be either 1 Tyger or 5 Tyger, while the longer games will be 10 Tyger or 20 Tyger so that your time spent is well worth it.
There is nothing stopping players from adding to this base Ante to help make the pot bigger and more enticing while play is ongoing.
Spectators may place outside Ante on game being played, however the players themselves will not be a part of those additional wagers.
There will be "The House" attendants available to play against if someone cannot find another player to join them. Remember that there is a finite number of "The House", so you may have to wait for one to become available if you do not find another player to play.
